Diabetic Concerns: Kidney Stones Continued…
Greetings All!
Today we will talk about Uric Acid Kidney Stones. Though this form of stone is not as common it is still an issue. Kidney Stones are increasing in these summer months an we need to do all we can to prevent them. The biggest concern over the summer months is dehydration.
This lack of water in our body prevents our kidneys from running smoothly and this creates room for stones to develop. As always the kidneys need water to function properly. So how does this create Uric Acid stones? Well let me tell you.
People with these type of stones have too much urate in their bladder, uretha, etc…
People who suffer from gout, or are on chemothearopy are at a higher risk of getting these stones. They are also formed when there is an over abundance of meats. Many people at risk or who have had these stones are recommended to cut down or avoid eating meat all together.
