7 habits - Intro.

by

[Intro] [Habit One] [Habit Two] [Habit Three] [Habit 4] [Habit 5] [Habit 6] [Habit 7] [Conclusion]

When I decided to take over this blog, I realized that it’d be a challenge, more so then the other ones that I write for here at 451Press. Namely, it would take research. I hate research. I know right? You totally couldn’t tell! But that’s why you’ll see another name peppered around here, with informing articles and views and ideas and, well, researched posts. He loves that kinda stuff - so if you’ve found your way here through my ramblings, please say hello to Brick and welcome him to the Diabetes Health Talk team! I plan on foisting all the research on him, while taking the personal route myself. We’ll see how much he likes it then!

My kind of research usually involves random clicking of links until I’m so lost I couldn’t even begin to describe how I got to where I ended up. Sometimes, though, that ends up with a good information that I can share with you.

While randomly clicking about this past week, I came across the Diabetes7.org site, and ordered their free booklet. So - throughout this week, I’ll be sharing the 7 habits of Highly Effective People with Diabetes with you. I hope you find something in the next few posts that encourages you, whether you’ve been just diagnosed, or living with diabetes for a while now.

The booklet was put together by Steven Covey, who’s wife was diagnosed with diabetes, and he made it his mission to coach her back to health. It’s filled with your typical self-help cheesiness, but when you look past that, there’s a lot of good tips included as well. The goal is to give the diabetic easy steps to focus on, to help get a handle on managing diabetic health. Filled with take charge attitude - over this series of posts, I hope you find something to help you work toward a beneficial lifestyle change.

Stay tuned for more!

PS - no, i won’t be copying the booklet verbatim. Just for those that wondered and all - it’ll be peppered with my opinions throughout!
